1,40,939 Students Applied for Diploma Engineering

A total of 1,40,939 Class 10 students applied for diploma engineering admissions across Maharashtra in 2026-27.

The applicants included:

• 93,542 boys
• 47,397 girls

Out of the total applicants, 1,14,573 students secured admission.

Among those who secured admission:

• 76,266 were boys
• 38,307 were girls

The figures show that a large number of students who applied for diploma engineering ultimately secured seats in polytechnic institutes across the state.

6,799 Students With More Than 90% Marks Took Admission

Another notable feature of this year’s admission cycle was the participation of high-scoring Class 10 students.

As many as 6,799 students who scored more than 90% in Class 10 secured admission to diploma engineering courses.
