0 HDFC Bank Parivartan’s much-needed educational crisis scholarship support program in support of students whose education is disrupted due to financial or personal crises-the ECSS Programme for the year 2024-25-are now open. This would empower meritorious needy students from lower-income families to ensure seamless continuation of their education process.
Scholarship Description
The ECSS Programme provides financial assistance up to ₹75,000 to students who cannot afford the cost of education due to adverse family or personal circumstances. This initiative supports students from Class 1 to 12 and those pursuing diploma, ITI, polytechnic, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs in various fields.
HDFC Bank, through its social initiative ‘Parivartan,’ aims to drive meaningful change in rural development, education, skill development, healthcare, hygiene, and financial literacy.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scholarship is open to Indian nationals who meet the following conditions:
- Students must be enrolled in Classes 1 to 12, diploma (after Class 12), ITI, or polytechnic courses in private, government, or government-aided institutions. Undergraduate (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., B.E., B.Tech.) and postgraduate (M.A., M.Com, M.Sc., M.Tech.) courses from recognized institutions.
- Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in their previous qualifying examination.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Preference is given to students who have faced personal or family crises in the past three years, making them unable to afford education.
Note: Diploma applicants must be pursuing their diploma after completing Class 12.
The scholarship provides the following assistance:
- For Classes 1 to 6: ₹15,000
- For Classes 7 to 12, Diploma, ITI, and Polytechnic: ₹18,000
- For undergraduate general courses: ₹30,000
- For undergraduate professional courses: ₹50,000
- For postgraduate general courses: ₹35,000
- For postgraduate professional courses: ₹75,000
Applicants must provide the following documents during the application process:
1. Passport-size photograph
2. Previous year’s marksheets (2023-24)
3. Identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License)
4. Current year admission proof (Fee Receipt/Admission Letter/Institution ID Card/Bonafide Certificate) (2024-25)
5. Applicant’s bank passbook or cancelled cheque
6. Income proof (any of the following):
Certificate issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Councillor/Sarpanch
Certificate from SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar Affidavit
7. Proof of family/personal crisis, if applicable
