The Directorate of Education, Maharashtra, has officially announced the schedule for Round 2 of FYJC (First Year Junior College) Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2025. This update comes as a relief for students who either didn’t secure a seat in Round 1 or wish to upgrade their college and stream preferences.
🔍 Key Dates for FYJC Round 2 Admission
- Online Registration Begins: July 10, 2025
- Last Date to Apply: July 13, 2025
- CAP Round 2 Allotment List Release: July 17, 2025
- Admission Confirmation Window: July 18 to 21, 2025
- Vacant Seats Display: July 23, 2025

🏫 Options and Flexibility in Round 2
Students can select up to 10 preferred junior colleges. Those who did not receive any allotment in Round 1 are allowed to change their stream and college preferences, offering greater flexibility and opportunity for seat confirmation.
Once allotted, students must log in to the admission portal and confirm their seats within the designated window. Failure to do so may result in loss of allotted seat.

The Science stream remained the most preferred with over 3.4 lakh applications, followed by Commerce (1.39 lakh) and Arts (1.49 lakh), reflecting a balanced interest across streams.
