Khan Sir started coaching six students there in Patna. His method of simplifying arduous concepts soon became well known, and his coaching institute, Khan GS Research Centre, was established. The center became a hub for aspirants preparing for exams like UPSC, SSC, and BPSC.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when his coaching center had to close, Khan Sir transitioned to online teaching. He launched his YouTube channel, Khan GS Research Centre, which rapidly gained millions of subscribers. By blending humor with education, his videos broke barriers, making quality education accessible across India. In 2021, he also launched an app to further extend his reach.

Among educational content providers, Khan Sir remains the largest YouTube channel and features the lives of over 23 million subscribers.
